Berks County, Pennsylvania painted pine dower chest, late 18th c., attributed to the Black Unicorn artist, the front decorated with three panels with rampant unicorns and tulips, all on a salmon ground, 23" h., 48 3/4" w. For a nearly identical example, see Pook & Pook Auction, Collection of Lester and Barbara Breininger, November 12, 2011, lot 499. Provenance: A Berks County, Pennsylvania collection

Condition:23 1/4" d. A couple knot patches to top. Feet/base molding replaced.
