NY stoneware churn, White & Wood Binghamton bird

New York six-gallon stoneware churn, ca. 1880, impressed White & Wood Binghamton, N.Y., with an exceedingly well executed cobalt paddletail bird, perched atop a floral garland, 18 1/2" h. The size and crispness of the decoration make this an outstanding example of this potters work. Provenance: Bruce and Vicki Waasdorp, Decorated Stoneware Auction, October 1993, Lot 103.

Condition:General allover glaze were to lid. Shallow flake to rim of lid. 7'' bifurcating hairline to backside, extends to the interior. Large chip to backside of rim.
