Ohio tiger maple percussion long rifle, approximately .40 caliber, barrel inscribed in script LB, possibly L. G. Brown, Athens County Ohio, the lock inscribed T & C Neave, Cincin O., with brass furniture, including an engraved three-piece patchbox, the underside of stock with an unusual chain link inlay, the buttplate with overlayed scalloped edge, cheek rest with silver lozenge engraved with a spread wing eagle, set trigger, nineteen German silver inlays to stock, 45 3/4" octagonal barrel. Provenance: The Estate of Peter Tillou.

Condition:Converted to percussion, silvered patch beside barrel tang, heavily pitted barrel where touch hole was. Rifled.
