Pennsylvania Chippendale walnut dining chair, ca. 1765, with shell carved crest, apron and knees. Provenance A Maryland estate.

Condition:Branded CB on underside of seat frame. Slip seat replaced. Rear corner blocks replaced. Repaired break to one knee. One side knee return replaced. Nice old finish. Provenance: purchased in Philadelphia ca.1850 by Jonathan and Elizabeth Heap and then by descent in the family.
