Three-piece New York silver tea set, ca. 1800, bearing the touch of Hugh Wishart, initialed J, 32.8 ozt. Provenance: Private Collection, Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.
Creamer - rubbed maker's mark, patch to body at lower handle terminal, repairs to upper handle terminal, several dents to body and spout, engraved initial and borders heavily rubbed. Sugar - shallow creases & dings throughout, finial lopsided, engravings rubbed. Teapot - split in cover, some dents to body and spout, minor dings and creases.
