John Burdumy
Wears Many Other Hats
John Burdumy joined Pook & Pook’s photography team in the fall of 2017. He graduated from West Chester University in 2012 with a fine arts degree and a concentration in graphic design. John won “best of show – body of work” at his class’s senior art show. After graduating, he started assisting and second shooting with other photographers, as well as doing his own freelance photography. John has always helped out in every department here at Pook & Pook, including our consignment transport team. In the spring of 2020 John decided to switch gears and work full time for us as a antique mover, while still helping out with photo shoots, exhibitions, cataloging, and just about everything else we do here at Pook & Pook.
Outside of work, John runs his own small leather goods company, JRBurd, as well as does freelance photography. He also likes to travel with his wife, take their dog for walks in the woods, go camping in their VW, and go hunting for vintage treasures. He is especially fond of works on paper (books, prints, ads) and oddities, as well as vintage packaging and typography.
