Brush with Greatness

My pick of the week has expanded already to pick of the sale. Since Pook and Pook has three sales this week I am committed to making three picks. Day one of our online only auction is like always chocked full of great stuff. I think there is something for everyone. My pick for this sale is lot #1539. Have a look at a large figural paint brush inscribed Painters L. U. 1551. I am guessing that the LU stands for Local Union. A quick google search did not yield any results for a Painters Union with this number, I did however find a Carpenters Local Union 1551 in Three Rivers, Michigan. I wonder if this may have been where the paint brush resided at one point? This particular paint brush is 4 feet long. If you can find a paint bucket large enough you could paint a room with four quick swipes. Make sure you tape the edges first! If you could buy this for the estimate I think it would be a great deal. As the auctioneer I hope that it outperforms its estimate. Who wants to start a new career
