Sara Beyer joined Pook & Pook in 2018 as a part-time auction assistant. In January 2022, she took a larger role assisting with exhibition set-up and pick-ups and in January 2023, she started a full time role at the front desk managing the bidding department and catalog editing. In 2024 Sara began her apprenticeship with the appraisal department learning to catalog jewelry and she took over the position of gallery exhibition designer and auction staff supervisor.
Her past employment includes eight years as a project assistant at the Winterthur Museum where she worked on a large-scale digitization and cataloging project of the museum’s collections. She has also worked as an Assistant Editor in the publications office at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and in the research department at National Geographic Magazine. Sara earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Museum Studies from Hartwick College.
In her spare time, Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and slowly renovating her old house.
