Ronald Pook founded Pook & Pook, Inc. in 1984 along with his wife, Debra. Engaged in the business of appraising antiques and fine art for over forty years, Ron is a licensed auctioneer in the state of Pennsylvania and specializes in appraising American, English, and Continental 17th, 18th, and 19th century furniture, pottery, and porcelains. Best known for hosting the largest on-site, one-day auction ever held in the United States in June of 1999, which grossed over $4.3 million, Ron is also proud that Pook & Pook, Inc. was the first auction house outside of New York City to sell a piece of American furniture for over $1 million, a Philadelphia pie crust tea table. Besides his love for antiques, Ron is a passionate organic farmer, a grandfather to twenty, and a great-grandfather to seven!
